Hall of Famer Wade Boggs used this Mizuno Pro model bat during the 1992 MLB Japan All-Star Series, a best-of-eight series between a team of MLB All-Stars and NPB All-Stars. The MLB All-Stars won this series 6-1-1, with Chicago Cubs first baseman Mark Grace earning MVP honors. This bat displays moderate game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and black ink transfers present on the barrel. There is a light coating of pine tar on the lower barrel and Boggs’ number “26” is handwritten in black marker on the knob. 1992 was Boggs’ last year with the Boston Red Sox and wore number “26” before signing with the New York Yankees for 1993 and switching to number 12. Boggs has signed this bat in bold blue marker across the barrel and inscribed “Game Used” and “Americans VS Japanese ‘92’”. This bat comes with a LOA from Boggs and PSA/DNA (1B26910) for the game use and has been given a high grade of GU 8.5. Additionally, there is a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature and inscription.
